Hello Nollan!
My name is Edvin, and I’m the President of the Industrial Engineering and Management Student Guild here in Lund. I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to the best student city in Sweden, and especially to the I-guild.
When I moved to Lund from Stockholm after a (very much needed) gap year to begin my studies, I thought I knew what to expect. I didn’t. Even though I felt ready, I was also excited and a little nervous, and for good reason. You have some intense, challenging, but above all incredibly fun years ahead of you.
Studying in a student city is about much more than attending lectures and taking exams. In Lund, and especially within our section, there is almost anything you could imagine doing outside of your studies, and I encourage you to make the most of it. Step outside your comfort zone, join a student theatre production, try a new sport, or get to know new people through one of Lund’s many student nations. Your time as a student is the perfect opportunity to do all of that.
A new chapter of your life is about to begin, and I hope you’re as excited as we are to welcome you to Industrial Engineering and Management in Lund. The section and the people who make it what it is are here to support you, and we look forward to getting to know you. Welcome to our community, and make yourself at home.

Hello all new I-students!
First of all, huge congratulations on being accepted and welcome to Lund and Industrial Engineering and Management. I’m really looking forward to meeting you this autumn!
My name is Elsa Schuberth and I am the vice president of the I-guild. Even though it feels like it was just yesterday, it’s now been two years since I packed up my things and headed for Lund, just like you’re about to do. For me, Lund was a city where I hardly knew anyone, and I didn’t really know what to expect. So far, my years here have been incredibly eventful, challenging, but above all, fun, and I’m convinced that you’ll feel just as at home here as I do.
In Lund, there’s a place for everyone, no matter who you are or what you’re interested in. Just within our guild, there are groups for those who love performing on stage, playing football, cooking, and much more. The fun never seems to end, so don’t forget to pause and breathe every now and then! In the beginning, all the new impressions from people, studies, and perhaps the completely unfamiliar city can feel overwhelming, but remember that you’re not alone, after all, your new friends are in the same boat. The whole guild and I are excited to welcome you and your new class with open arms to our beautiful city and the student life that awaits you here.
